Privacy Policy
theIDOL (theidol.ai) — effective 4 October 2026
Who we are
theIDOL is a web and mobile application for learning Korean through K-pop songs with an AI companion (an original AI character, not a real person). Contact for any privacy request: support@theidol.ai or the in-app support chat.
What we collect
- Account data: email address, password (stored hashed by our authentication provider), the nickname and avatar photo you choose, and your confirmation that you are 13 or older. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your email address from them.
- Learning data: songs you open, words you save, exercise answers and progress — used to show your progress and schedule reviews.
- Chat messages: what you write to the AI idol, and facts from these conversations that the idol remembers. They are processed by AI providers to generate replies and kept to preserve conversation memory.
- Voice messages (optional, feature in testing): only if you press the record button. The recording is stored with your chat and transcribed by an AI speech provider. We never listen in the background.
- Messenger links (optional): if you connect Telegram, Discord or LINE, we store the account identifier needed to deliver your idol's messages there.
- Notifications (optional): if you allow push notifications, we store your browser's push subscription, time zone and language.
- Technical and usage data: server logs (IP address, browser type) for security and abuse prevention, and our own first-party usage events (which screens are opened) to improve the product.
What we do NOT do
- No advertising, no ad trackers, no selling or renting of personal data.
- No collection of contacts, location or camera data.
- No payments are processed in the app at the moment. If paid plans appear, payment will go through the app stores or a payment provider, and we will store only your subscription status — never card numbers.
Processors we rely on
- Supabase — database, authentication and file storage (region: Seoul).
- Vercel — hosting.
- AI model providers via fal.ai and OpenRouter — idol replies, song explanations, translations, speech recognition. Messages are processed, not used to train their models under their API terms.
- Inworld — text-to-speech voice of words and idol messages (receives text only).
- Resend — sending sign-up codes and service emails.
- Google and Apple — optional sign-in.
- Cloudflare Turnstile — bot protection on sign-up.
- YouTube — embedded music videos; YouTube's own privacy policy applies to the player.
- Telegram, Discord, LINE — optional messenger companion, only if you connect them.
Google user data
If you choose Sign in with Google, we receive only your email address, your name and your Google account identifier (scopes: openid, email, profile). We use them solely to create your theIDOL account and sign you in. We do not request access to Gmail, Drive, Contacts or any other Google service, we do not sell or share this data, and we do not use it for advertising or to train AI models. theIDOL's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Deleting your account removes this data.
Retention and deletion
Data is kept while your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data yourself: account menu → Delete account. You can also write to the contact above — deletion is completed within 30 days.
Children
The service is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes
We will update this page when the policy changes; the effective date above always reflects the current version.

Quiénes somos
theIDOL es una aplicación web y móvil para aprender coreano con canciones de K-pop y un compañero de IA (un personaje original de IA, no una persona real). Para cualquier solicitud sobre privacidad: support@theidol.ai o el chat de soporte de la app.
Qué recopilamos
- Datos de la cuenta: correo electrónico, contraseña (guardada cifrada por nuestro proveedor de autenticación), el apodo y la foto que elijas, y tu confirmación de que tienes 13 años o más. Si entras con Google o Apple, recibimos tu correo de ellos.
- Datos de aprendizaje: canciones que abres, palabras que guardas, respuestas y progreso de los ejercicios — para mostrar tu progreso y programar repasos.
- Mensajes del chat: lo que escribes al ídolo de IA y los datos de esas conversaciones que el ídolo recuerda. Los procesan proveedores de IA para generar respuestas y se guardan para mantener la memoria de la conversación.
- Mensajes de voz (opcional, función en pruebas): solo si pulsas el botón de grabar. La grabación se guarda con tu chat y la transcribe un proveedor de reconocimiento de voz. Nunca escuchamos en segundo plano.
- Mensajería (opcional): si conectas Telegram, Discord o LINE, guardamos el identificador necesario para enviarte allí los mensajes de tu ídolo.
- Notificaciones (opcional): si las permites, guardamos la suscripción push de tu navegador, tu zona horaria y tu idioma.
- Datos técnicos y de uso: registros del servidor (dirección IP, tipo de navegador) por seguridad y contra abusos, y eventos de uso propios (qué pantallas se abren) para mejorar el producto.
Qué NO hacemos
- Sin publicidad ni rastreadores publicitarios; no vendemos ni alquilamos datos personales.
- No recopilamos contactos, ubicación ni cámara.
- Por ahora la app no procesa pagos. Si aparecen planes de pago, el pago irá por las tiendas de apps o un proveedor de pagos, y solo guardaremos el estado de tu suscripción — nunca números de tarjeta.
Proveedores que usamos
- Supabase — base de datos, autenticación y archivos (región: Seúl).
- Vercel — alojamiento.
- Proveedores de modelos de IA a través de fal.ai y OpenRouter — respuestas del ídolo, explicaciones de canciones, traducciones, reconocimiento de voz. Los mensajes se procesan y, según sus condiciones de API, no se usan para entrenar sus modelos.
- Inworld — voz sintetizada de palabras y mensajes del ídolo (solo recibe texto).
- Resend — envío de códigos de registro y correos del servicio.
- Google y Apple — inicio de sesión opcional.
- Cloudflare Turnstile — protección contra bots en el registro.
- YouTube — videos musicales integrados; al reproductor se aplica la política de privacidad de YouTube.
- Telegram, Discord, LINE — compañero en mensajería, solo si los conectas.
Datos de usuario de Google
Si eliges entrar con Google, solo recibimos tu correo, tu nombre y el identificador de tu cuenta de Google (openid, email, profile). Los usamos únicamente para crear tu cuenta de theIDOL e iniciar sesión. No pedimos acceso a Gmail, Drive, Contactos ni a otros servicios de Google, no vendemos ni compartimos estos datos y no los usamos para publicidad ni para entrenar modelos de IA. El uso y la transferencia de la información recibida de las API de Google cumple la Política de datos de usuario de los servicios de API de Google, incluidos los requisitos de uso limitado.
Conservación y eliminación
Los datos se guardan mientras tu cuenta esté activa. Puedes eliminar tu cuenta y todos los datos tú mismo: menú de la cuenta → Eliminar cuenta. También puedes escribir al contacto de arriba — la eliminación se completa en 30 días.
Menores
El servicio no está dirigido a menores de 13 años. Si crees que un menor de 13 años ha creado una cuenta, escríbenos y la eliminaremos.
Cambios
Actualizaremos esta página cuando cambie la política; la fecha de arriba siempre corresponde a la versión vigente.

Кто мы
theIDOL — веб- и мобильное приложение для изучения корейского через K-pop песни с AI-компаньоном (собственный AI-персонаж, не реальный человек). Контакт по вопросам данных: support@theidol.ai или чат поддержки в приложении.
Что мы собираем
- Аккаунт: email, пароль (хранится в виде хэша у провайдера авторизации), выбранные ник и фото, подтверждение, что вам есть 13 лет. При входе через Google или Apple мы получаем от них ваш email.
- Учебные данные: открытые песни, сохранённые слова, ответы и прогресс заданий — чтобы показывать прогресс и планировать повторение.
- Сообщения в чате: то, что вы пишете AI-айдолу, и факты из этих разговоров, которые айдол запоминает. Обрабатываются AI-провайдерами для ответа и хранятся ради памяти диалога.
- Голосовые (по желанию, функция в тесте): только когда вы нажимаете запись. Запись хранится вместе с перепиской и распознаётся AI-провайдером речи. В фоне мы ничего не слушаем.
- Мессенджеры (по желанию): если вы подключили Telegram, Discord или LINE, храним идентификатор, нужный для доставки сообщений айдола.
- Уведомления (по желанию): если вы их разрешили — push-подписку браузера, часовой пояс и язык.
- Технические данные: серверные логи (IP, тип браузера) для безопасности и собственная статистика использования (какие экраны открываются) для улучшения продукта.
Чего мы НЕ делаем
- Нет рекламы и рекламных трекеров, не продаём и не передаём личные данные.
- Не собираем контакты, геолокацию, камеру.
- Оплаты в приложении сейчас нет. Если появятся платные тарифы, оплата пойдёт через магазины приложений или платёжного провайдера, а мы будем хранить только статус подписки — никогда номера карт.
Обработчики данных
- Supabase — база данных, авторизация и файлы (регион: Сеул).
- Vercel — хостинг.
- AI-провайдеры через fal.ai и OpenRouter — ответы айдола, разбор песен, переводы, распознавание речи. По условиям их API сообщения не используются для обучения моделей.
- Inworld — озвучка слов и сообщений айдола (получает только текст).
- Resend — письма с кодом регистрации и служебные письма.
- Google и Apple — вход по желанию.
- Cloudflare Turnstile — защита регистрации от ботов.
- YouTube — встроенные клипы; к плееру применяется политика YouTube.
- Telegram, Discord, LINE — компаньон в мессенджере, только если вы их подключили.
Данные Google
При входе через Google мы получаем только почту, имя и идентификатор аккаунта Google (openid, email, profile) и используем их лишь для создания аккаунта theIDOL и входа. Доступ к Gmail, Диску, контактам и другим сервисам Google мы не запрашиваем, эти данные не продаём, не передаём и не используем для рекламы или обучения моделей. Использование данных из API Google соответствует Google API Services User Data Policy, включая требования Limited Use.
Хранение и удаление
Данные хранятся, пока аккаунт активен. Удалить аккаунт и все данные можно самому: меню аккаунта → «Удалить аккаунт». Можно и написать на контакт выше — удаление в течение 30 дней.
Дети
Сервис не предназначен для детей младше 13 лет. Если вы считаете, что аккаунт создал ребёнок младше 13 лет, напишите нам — мы его удалим.
Изменения
При изменении политики мы обновим эту страницу; дата выше всегда соответствует действующей версии.
